Will it really look like them?

You see their illustrated face before you pay anything. If something looks off, we redo it for free. If we still can't get their face right, you get a full refund. That's our Likeness Promise.

What if I'm not good at reading aloud?

They don't want a perfect narrator. They want you. You record it page by page on your phone, so there's no long speech to get through. If you'd rather not record, our storyteller can read it instead, for the same price.

Is my grandchild's photo safe?

Yes. The photo is deleted as soon as you approve their illustrated face, and it is never used to train AI.

How fast does it arrive?

The PDF storybook and the read-aloud video are emailed after a person checks the book, usually within a few hours (own-voice videos are made after you finish recording). You can order digital items right up to Christmas Eve. For the hardcover, order by December 8 for Christmas delivery (contiguous US).

Can I make one for each grandchild?

Yes. Another grandkid's own book is 25% off. Or add brothers, sisters and cousins to the same story for +$15 each, so they star in it together (up to 3 children per story).

What if they live far away?

That's who this is for. They can hear you read to them at bedtime, and hear your message at the end, even when you can't be there. The hardcover ships free in the contiguous US.

What if I pick your storyteller?

Our storyteller reads the story, but the last page is always you: record a short message in your own voice. Prefer not to record? We'll show your words on screen instead.

Can I put my own words in the story?

Yes. Tell us what you always say to them, like "You're braver than you think." In the story, those are the words that save Christmas.

How does the code inside work?

When the video is in your order, we put a small code in the book: printed inside the hardcover, and on the first page of the PDF, so it works even when you print the PDF at home. Point any phone camera at it and their read-aloud video opens. No app needed.

Does a real person check it?

Yes. Every book is checked by a real person before it's delivered.

What do I need to get started?

One clear photo of your grandchild and their first name. You'll see their illustrated face first, free.
